‘Quit Yoyo Dieting’
Trying to quit yo-yo dieting is difficult enough for most women, especially when not knowing where to start. However, even for those who have been caught up in the ‘cycle' before losing weight only to put it back on again, there are ways to quit yo-yo dieting and which are not as daunting as some may think.
The number one thing here to enable those wanting to quit yo-yo dieting is by breaking the ‘cycle'. This just means that those women who have managed to lose weight through dieting don't go gaining weight again the moment they come off it which obviously defeats the object of losing weight in the first place.
Unfortunately, the common problem where a majority of women seem to fail is because they do not set realistic goals for losing weight. The biggest motivational killer is trying to lose too much weight in too short time. The way to combat this is to have smaller achievable goals where each one leads to the ultimate one over a longer period.
To compliment this it is suggested to have a healthy eating plan in place, which is not too strict, to accomplish the desire to quit yo-yo dieting. The reason why yo-yo diets start in the first place is because a majority of people going on diets go too extreme and eventually realise it's not realistic to stick with the plan. Hence a healthy and realistic eating plan which allows the odd treat is far more likely to succeed in the longer term than being too strict and missing out on certain food groups.
This is the key to succeeding. No matter what some diets out there say never miss out any food groups when coming up with a healthy eating plan. The big issue here is that there seems to be a stigma around that healthy eating means eating the same food over again for weeks at a time. But this is far from the truth. There are so many nice foods and recipes out there these days to make eating healthily enjoyable and become almost second nature.
Plus it means the occasional bar of chocolate or those few cheeky glasses of wine are not off limits… as long as they don't become a regular occurrence of course.
It's true… by allowing the odd occasional treat makes it easier to help quit yo-yo dieting. This might not seem normal to some people who believe the only way is to go on an ultra-strict diet and then when the inevitable happens and they succumb to a treat feel they have ruined their plan and end up quitting their diet and putting all the weight back on again.
So in short... there are two simple and successful ways for people wanting to quit yo-yo dieting. Always set realistic goals that can be reached to help keep motivation up and eat healthily allowing the occasional treat. Keeping these two ways in mind is a sure fire way to achieving those weight loss goals and quitting yo-yo dieting for good.ALL you need to do is pop in your details in the box below and CLICK the button to receive YOUR FREE guide to finish yoyo dieting..
