‘Prevent Yoyo Dieting’
These days, everyone is on the lookout for quick and easy ways to lose weight. Many women are willing to try crash diets because of the temptation to losing a fair amount of weight quickly. However, the only problem with this and being on a strict diet is that no sooner than they come off, all the weight instantly goes back on again. And this is what’s termed as yo-yo dieting. But can falling into this trap be avoided?
Luckily, the answer is yes.
Obviously, there will be people out there who say don’t fall
prey to it in the first place, but this is not always as easy
as it sounds.
Crash or yo-yo dieting will help women lose weight in the
short term. But no sooner than they go back to their old ways
of eating they suddenly find the weight piles back on them
again. And in some cases, actually put more on than in the
first place.
The reason why this happens is mainly because the body was
not given enough food on the diet. And this gets the body
retaining even more of the food it acquires afterwards in
the precaution it stops getting it in the future. In short,
it’s like the body’s fail safe mechanism kicking in and stock
piling fat in the body… just in case. To help prevent this
happen a longer term weight loss plan is more beneficial than
a shorter one.
Having a longer term weight loss plan relies on eating healthily
and also one that can easily be sustained, rather than those
strict regimes that cannot. To help prevent yo-yo dieting
in the first place the body must have enough nutrition. Being
too strict and starving the body usually leads to cravings,
which in turn can lead to a complete blow out and the need
to binge on that craving.
However, by focusing on a longer term plan that contains all
of the essential food groups and even allows the odd treat
will help avoid this from happening. As allowing the odd treat
will not create the need to binge as the body knows it can
still have all these things it wants. Also by doing this can
also be a perfect way to boost morale and use it as a reward
for doing so well with the plan.
Unfortunately, there is no instant magic trick to weight loss
– it is simply all down to eating properly. By eating smaller
meals regularly throughout the day increases the body’s metabolism
which burns unwanted calories and fats and helps lose weight.
It is a bit of a paradox to think that by eating more often
can actually lead to weight loss.
Obviously it goes without saying not to have a treat every
day and not to give in to every craving, but simply allow
the occasional treat so the cravings will soon wane making
it easier to stay on the straight and narrow.

plan that is easy to stick to is the best way forward and
also more beneficial to the body. And more importantly being
able to avoid falling into the yo-yo diet trap and start losing
weight a healthy and sensible way.
